Juventus show interest in Manchester United's Dimitar Berbatov

Reports from England have identified Dimitar Berbatov as Juventus transfer target

Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov is wanted by Juventus, according to reports from the English media.

Publication The Sun comments that the Bulgarian, who signed from Tottenham in 2008 and has one year remaining on his contract with the Red Devils, has recently lost his starting place at Old Trafford due to the rise of Mexican talent, Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez.
The lure of first team football may well prove too good an offer to refuse, and Juve are thought to be preparing a summer bid to tempt the forward to Serie A.

Despite an explosive start to the season, 20 league goals to his name and netting the winner on Saturday against Bolton, the 30-year-old remains down the United pecking order.

Berbatov was on the verge of an early exit from the Premier League club during his first season but stayed on after rediscovering the goalscoring form that saw him a much-coveted player during his time at White Hart Lane.
